Our Flashback Rewards Cache Community Activity continues this week (9/16-9/30). Completing Flashback Missions during this time rewards you with Legendary Gear (this is the same Gear that is typically earned by completing Vault missions with a Hero above Power Level 80), 100 Fragments, and 10 Upgrade Modules.

In other news, our team is hard at work playtesting the upcoming Klaw Raid: Discordant Sound. Additionally, our Gear Upgrade Rework is going smoothly and working as intended. We can’t wait to share more about both of these items!

She wears her “Widow’s Bite” around her wrist, which is a series of small red and black mini rockets that strike enemies with electroshock damage. Her belt buckle is the iconic red hourglass symbol of the black widow spider.

Community Spotlight: @The_Hero_Mentor (Twitter)

In this week’s spotlight interview, we pull up our virtual chairs with one of our awesome community members: The_Hero_Mentor!

Can you give us a quick introduction to who you are and what you do in the Community?

My name is Hero Mentor, and I am the host and producer for “Community Assembled,” which is a podcast that is live on Twitch every Sunday. On this podcast, I invite community members from the comic community to share their stories, passion for Marvel, etc. and I also invite community members to co-host episodes. I am also a motivational speaker, former youth mentor, recognized mental health champion, and a LightStream Partner.

What’s your history with Marvel & Avengers? How long have you been a fan?

I was first introduced to Marvel with the Dolph Lundgren Punisher movie. I would then be introduced to the Hulk by Lou Ferrigno, and then the X-Men courtesy of the 90s animated series. Ever since then, I have been a huge fan of Marvel. I have been a fan since 1991, however I never really grew up reading the comics, as I was more attracted to the animated and TV series and later the movies.

Outside of Marvel’s Avengers, what do you do for fun?

I love gaming overall, therefore, I will always be gaming. However, I also love to produce and host podcasts, meditate, exercise, read, write, and speak to youths.

What’s your favorite thing about the Marvel’s Avengers Community?

What I love most about the Marvel’s Avengers community is the unity. I also love the honesty and passion the majority of the community has toward the game. This community is by far the most supportive gaming community I’ve ever been a part of, therefore, HUGE props to Marvel’s Avengers for creating this community and for being heavily engaged with the community on social media. Huge shout-out the Crystal Dynamics community team, you know who you are!

What’s your favorite thing about Marvel’s Avengers?

Overall, my favorite thing about Marvel’s Avengers is the combat, and how every hero has their own individual style. Secondly, I love the voice acting and the story.

Who do you main and why?

At the beginning, my main was Hulk. However, over the last few months, I have grown to appreciate the combat style and visuals of Thor. I find his heroics and combat to be the most visually appealing.

Who are your favorite Marvel Heroes?

In real life, my top fivve Marvel heroes are: Hulk, Punisher, Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, and Quake.

Anything you want to say to the Community?

I want to just tell the community to continue with their passion and to never forget that a community grows with honesty, positivity, and support. I also wish to thank Crystal Dynamics, Square Enix, and the community for being there for me for what was a very difficult year due to the pandemic and mental health. Oh, and let’s never forget that the hero we need, is the one we can become!
